I received critique today on the development and experiments of the door handle. Fernando does said that he does not understand it and an avocado does not make the connection of millennials not being able to purchase a home immediately. But he does understand the avocado takeover on instagram. Fede also says that she doesContinue reading "Pin up and presentation of making and experiments"

300 words on Surrealist object development
The intervention is on a traditional Victorian mushroom knob. Selected for its antique brass finish, referencing the class it represents. The structure of the door knob is predominantly masculine and the function is not always about opening doors and entrances as much as it is about closing them. Spinning asymmetrically on its base, the designContinue reading "300 words on Surrealist object development"

'in Pursuit of Venus' (2015) is a large panoramic, live action video by Lisa Reihana, a New Zealand artist who has appropriated the wallpaper series Les Sauvages de la Mer Pacifique (1804-05) by the French painter Jean Gabriel Charvet, which narrates the story of Captain Cook's expeditions; and in particular one commissioned by the Royal SocietyContinue reading "in Pursuit of Venus [infected]"
Victorian Turret roofs, Battersea
I am going past this house every week when I am nannying for some extra money. The children first introduced me to the 'witche's' house as they fondly called it which features all of the components of a victorian London terrance house. After completing my interior sketch for the salon and presenting to the client last week, she advises she would contact me again soon. On Saturday she confirmed she wants to proceed with the design, over the course of a few months as she does not have all of the budget. I confirmed my meeting withContinue reading "Nail salon meeting, measurement taking and contractor quotations"
Highpoint, Highgate & 2 Willow Road, Hampstead
Yesterday I visiting Highgate and Hampstead to see the two buildings suggested in Thursday's stairs lecture. Both buildings share similar surroundings of picturesque old English homes in London. They stand out in contrast as modern boxes with minimalist detail, focusing primarily on functionality. Highpoint was designed by Berthold Lubetkin who founded the Tecton practise. 2Continue reading "Highpoint, Highgate & 2 Willow Road, Hampstead"
Experiments phase
Images below depict my first experimentations with avocado skin using it to make a collage with acrylic on paper and testing how effectively it responds to modelling clay. I have learnt that the avocado skin is less likely to be flexible when it is not ripe. Very unripe avocado skin tends to snap and isContinue reading "Experiments phase"
