On Saturday I went to Misa nails in North Finchley to have a manicure. I got talking to the owner as it has just changed hands and she is looking to revamp it but has a limited budget. I shared some ideas with her and have agreed to go back next week and pitch my designs in draft form.
My ideas so far are below. Now I know the course does not want mood boards but a potential client will and until I have learnt a different method, I think this is the best way to convey a concept. My plan is to take inspiration from a Japanese Onsen spa and blend it with the instagram culture of photographing every moment. I want to create a design that is photoshoot worthy and pulls customers in from the street for the spectacle.
